ABOUT US

Meet Elaine!

A native Houstonian and a Texas food activist, Elaine Dillard supports the culinary arts, women's rights, and counterculture. With a deep passion for helping creatives succeed, she's a powerful supporter of Houston's vibrant arts scene.

A visionary aestheticist with a heart of gold, she has contributed to the following projects: The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, the Legendary Art Car Ball, and the Houston Art Car Parade (for the past 13 years). A founding board member of Spacetaker in 2003 (currently Fresh Arts). In 2006 she co-founded the award-winning event venue, Rockin' Star Ranch, with her family in Brenham, Texas.

In 2016 she co-founded the acclaimed Butcher's Ball, a two-day event where top chefs from all over Texas compete for the coveted Golden Cleaver award. The Butcher's Ball brings together chefs, butchers, ranchers, and advocates for a day of demonstrations, discussions, and tastings highlighting small, independent farms and ranches actively engaged in sustainability.

In 2022, she produced the first annual Rock & Roll Picnic at the iconic Continental Club to raise funds for "I'll Have What She's Having," supporting reproductive health issues for women in the food and beverage industry.

She believes in harnessing the power of collaboration with others to bolster the impact of the initiatives she works on. She's a genuine "connector," bringing together a diverse set of individuals and combining their unique talents into stellar events filled with creativity and social consciousness.
